Company overview
Flint Engineering is an R&D company that specialises in low-carbon technologies based on their patented Isomat technology. Amongst other products, Flint Engineering developed two low-carbon heating products. The first is a radiator replacement that is 150% more efficient than traditional steel radiators at low temperatures. This makes it ideal for retrofitting with heat pumps, without requiring additional wall space, and has a faster response time. Although this product is still in the trial phase, it has shown promising results, and the company plans to commercialise it soon, following trials conducted by Brunel University.
The second product, a roof panel, fulfils the requirements of a roof while meeting a building’s heating and hot water needs. This makes the property self-sufficient, and the product has the potential to end fuel poverty. Although it is still under development, the roof panel will work for both retrofitting and new builds, and it produces both electricity and heat.
Ignite with Ebico scheme has awarded Flint Engineering with the funding for an Investment Readiness support package.
